I took this on vacation for keeping my computer cool and letting me see the screen and it worked great. Needs to be on a flat surface though for best use as it’s malleable.
We do most of our computing outside, this is just the ticket for being able to see the screen and also protects the laptop from the elements.
This was the perfect size for my MacBook Pro. Bought to edit photos while I’m a passenger princess on road trips. Fits on my lap desk and not too tall. Folds up nice and compact.
Used this out on my balcony during the spring/summer and it performed as advertised. Also got some light rain on it which it repelled no problem. Very happy with the purchase.
This product is great at keeping my laptop cool in the hot sun when I’m working outside. However, with the type of laptop screen I have (almost matte-like, and not touchscreen), there is still a glare or visual disruption when the screen is facing away from the sun. It does come with an optional glare screen that works by fitting the belt over the backside of the laptop screen and connects using little carabiners that hook to the proximal support wires closest to the user. It kind of works…but when positioning the glare screen for full effect, it obstructs the keyboard and just makes it a bit difficult to use the actual laptop. I think it’s a great concept, but for me, it only works optimally in just the right circumstances, and primarily for viewing content on the screen rather than for functional usage of the laptop by the user. In other words, great for watching videos or reading virtual content. It was not efficient for writing emails, papers, or for interactive uses when the glare screen was being used.
